Pinciple

AIV Antigen Rapid test Kit is used to detect avian influenza virus (AIV) antigen in avian trachea or cloaca secretion, and can be used for screening and auxiliary diagnosis of avian influenza virus infection.

This test strip is based on the principle of colloidal gold immunochromatography (GICA) to detect all subtypes of avian influenza virus. After the sample is added, it will move with the colloidal gold marker. If there is AIV antigen in the sample, it will form a complex with the colloidal gold marker and move continuously. The complex will combine with the pre-coated antibody on the T line to make T The line appears red. If there is no AIV antigen in the specimen, there is no color reaction. The C line is the control line, and the appearance of the C line indicates that the detection is effective.

Strage and stablity

The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (18 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test Procedure

Collect cattle’s fresh whole blood, and get the serum or plasma specimen for use. Immediately apply the testing once collected the specimen.

Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
Place 2-3 drop (around 70-100uL) of serum or plasma specimen into the sample hole. Start timer and wait for result.
Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.
