Principle

Canine CHW Heartworm Disease Test Kit is used to detect Canine Heartworm (Pig Dirofilaria immitis) antigen in whole blood, serum or plasma of dogs. The two antibodies in the kit specifically bind to different epitopes of the antigen. Canine heartworm antigen is absorbed by the fiber mat and then moves, and combines with the anti-canine heartworm monoclonal gold colloid complex of the coupling mat to form an Ab-Ag complex. This complex, then, forms Ab-Ag-Ab directly sandwiched on the nitrocellulose membrane, another antibody against canine heartworm. The test result can appear on the control line and the detection line using the principle of immunochromatography.

Strage and stablity

The kit can be stored at room temperature (2-30°C). The test kit is stable through the expiration date (18 months) marked on the package label. DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.

Test Procedure

- Collection of fresh feces or vomit from the dog's anus or ground with cotton Swabs.

- Insert cotton Swabs into the provided detection buffer tube.

stir it to obtain effective sample extraction.

- Remove the test card from the foil bag and place it horizontally.

- Absorb the processed sample from the analytical buffer tube and drop 3 drops into the sample hole S of the testing equipment.

- 5-10 minutes to explain the results.The result is invalid after 10 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF ASSAY RESULT

- Positive (+): Whether the T line is clear or fuzzy, the "C" line and the region "T" line are present.

- Negative (-): Shows only the sharp C line. No T line.

- Invalid: no color lines in zone C. Whether the T line appears or not.
